Hey Reader,
Because of lament, my relationship with God changed. And when I thought about doing an episode on lament, Job was immediately the first person I thought of. I had just gotten a brand new Women's Study Bible, and while it's beautiful and I love it, what it said about Job's wife made my jaw hit the floor.
As you probably already know, I walked away from God for three years watching my son suffer through hospital rooms, blood draws, and countless tests that left us with more questions and rarely an answer.
And when I saw the words, "Job's wife failed her husband," I about lost my mind. You mean the same woman who just watched her 10 children die? The mother grieving and blaming God? She failed her husband?
So instead of an episode on lament, you're getting an entire episode about this. And about how her feelings toward God, her blaming God, wasn't her failing her husband. It was something that could easily happen to any one of us if we don't heal our image of God. How do I know? Because it happened to me.
