Advocacy is hard.
Not just because of the emails or the meetings or the paperwork.
But because you’re usually doing it while exhausted, emotional, and running on very little support.
There have been so many moments where I’ve sat in front of my laptop, needing to write something important; a message to a doctor, a follow-up to a school, or even just a summary of what my child has been through; and I had nothing left to give.
That’s when I started using AI.
Not to replace me. Not to be the voice. But to give me a starting point when my brain and heart were too heavy to do it alone.
I’d type out the feelings in raw, messy form. “I’m so tired of no one listening. I don’t know how to explain this again.”
And the AI would help turn that into something clear, strong, and calm.
It’s not perfect. It doesn’t know our story or feel what we feel. But it can take some of the weight off when the emotional labor is just too much.
This isn’t about relying on tech to speak for us. It’s about giving ourselves permission to receive help in a world that constantly demands we do everything alone.
Your voice is still yours. You’re still the one leading the way.
But it’s okay to let something lighten the load when it gets too heavy.
That’s not weakness. That’s strategy.
And it’s mighty.
Stay Mighty,
