Hey Reader–
If I sat down and thought about all the times I've cried in front of my kids, I could be embarrassed. And maybe I should be. But if I'm being honest, I'm not.
We have this idea that being strong all the time means suppressing our emotions and doing whatever we have to so our kids only see us at our best. And listen, there's a time and a place for that. Like when they're scared in a hospital room and it's our job to protect them and make them feel safe.
But in the moments when we let our guard down and cry in front of them, we give them the chance to understand that emotions are not taboo.
The same thing happens when we pray in front of our kids. They see us reach for God and search for Him when we need Him. And when they witness us do that, they start to feel like they can turn to Him too, when they're crying, when they're having a hard time, and He'll be there for them.
That's what today's episode is about. The power of a praying mom.
Your kids don't need a mom who never cracks. They need one who shows them where she goes when she does.
Now, go be MIGHTY mom,
